xBNC is a free IRC bouncer provider based on the SwiftIRC network. We utilise IPv6 and SSL technology to bring our users the best service possible for their IRC experience. We only use the most stable servers -- which means from a reputable provider, virtualised with Xen technology and supports native IPv6 connections for optimum stability. We deploy shroudBNC 1.2 which boasts modular abilities and multiple seamless sessions.
So, what can a BNC do?
- Anonymity - a bouncer is essentially a proxy. You connect to our servers which connect (and keep you connected!) to the IRC server, spoofing your IP to one of our IPs (which resolve to a worded form, more commonly known as a vHost).
- Channel clarity - when you disconnect from your BNC, people on the IRC server will either see your away message and nick change or nothing at all, providing a much more seamless event than constant Ping timeout's or other disconnections which can get quite frustrating.
- Logging - expecting an important message or just want to be always 'available'? A bouncer from us will log all your PMs, notices and server messages for you to read when you log back into our servers.
- Vanity hosts - is your ISP hostname too revealing, do you have a dynamic IP or do you just want something cool for when people whois you? Select one of our many quality vHosts to show in the ~ident@hostname.com part of your hostmask.
- Nickname security - don't want anyone on your nickname? Change your xBNC nickname to that and let us do the idling!
